Central Middlesex GP VTS

Banded job, based at Brent Community Mental Health Trust, Brondesbury Road. This role has weekly long days, once monthly nights and weekends at Park Royal.

Banded job, usually coupled with Ortho but 1 6m post available. Working full SHO rota including covering wards, on calls, nights and clinic. SHOs also cover ENT emergency clinic which is a good place to pick up ENT procedural and examination skills. Some clinics and surgeries are conducted at Ealing and CMH respectively

ITP stands for 'Integrated Training Position'. ITP Posts combine an equal mix of a GP post with another area. In this case, time will be spent in the Paeds department but only covering 8-5pm shifts

3 posts. Banded rota, every day is split in half, where morning and afternoon are in different places, from labour ward, to triage to clinic. Rotation includes long days once a week, 1:4 weekends, and 1:8 nights.

1 post. Banded. provides an excellent opportunity to learn about end of life care. Long days (till 8pm) once a week, with off site on-calls over night (1 in 4 - 1 in 5).

Usually 3 posts available. 1 unbanded post with 4 months of CoE and 2 months in Acute Medicine following the standard shift pattern. CoE is generally a 9-5 job with 1 day per week on-call until 9pm with weekend night covers.

Banded job, usually coupled with Ortho may be the first or second half. Working full SHO rota including covering wards, on calls, nights and clinic. SHOs also cover ENT emergency clinic which is a good place to pick up ENT procedural and examination skills. Some clinics and surgeries are conducted at Ealing and CMH respectively

There are 7 clinical sessions per week (each session being half a day). The 3 remaining sessions comprise: 1 tutorial with your clinical supervisor, 1 self-directed learning session and 1 half day release to join your peers in the weekly VTS teaching programme on Thursday afternoons. There may be requirements to act as duty doctor for the GP particularly at ST3 level, participate in home visits as well as other activities however these vary practice to practice.

Unbanded position (9-5pm) working at a local Public Health department including one month at the Health Protection Unit in Colindale. Currently a blend of office and tele-community

Banded rotation of 6 months at the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at NPH.

3 posts. Banded, working full SHO rota, including paediatric A&E, Adult A&E and Resus. Rotation includes regular long days, late shifts, weekends and nights.

Banded job, based at West Middlesex Hospital. Long days weekly, nights and weekends once a month.

ITP stands for 'Integrated Training Position'. These Posts combine time in GP of with another specialty or discipline. In this case, Medical Education which is usually in partnership with Imperial College London Medical School and comprises teaching as well as research roles

ITP stands for 'Integrated Training Position'. ITP Posts combine an equal mix of a GP post with another area. In this case, 2-3 days is spent in GP with the remainder in Gynae at NPH from 9-5pm OR 2-3 days in GP with 1 day in GUM at CMH and 1 day in Gynae Clinic at NPH

4 posts. Banded, working full SHO rota including ward cover, short and long days in Paediatric A&E as well as Daycare. GP trainees also have 1-2 weeks of clinic as well as 1-2 weeks of community (Brent)
